Hebron is a city in the southern West Bank located approximately 30 kilometers south of Jerusalem and serves as the capital of the Hebron Governorate, the largest governorate in the West Bank. The city proper has a population of 201,063 residents, while the broader metropolitan area within the governorate is home to over 700,000 people. Spanning 74.1 square kilometers, Hebron is the third largest city in Palestinian Territory after Gaza and East Jerusalem.
