Malta is a district in Poznań, Poland, best known for Lake Malta (also called the Maltański Reservoir), an artificial lake created in 1952 by damming the Cybina River. Measuring approximately 2.2 kilometers in length, it is the largest man-made lake within the city. The lake has an average depth of 3.1 meters, with a maximum depth of around 5 meters.
The area surrounding Lake Malta has been developed as a recreational destination for residents and visitors. Notable attractions along the lake's edge include an artificial ski slope, an ice rink, a zoological garden, and the Mound of Freedom.
