Quezon is a province located in the Calabarzon region on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Historically known as Tayabas and Kalilayan, the province was officially renamed Quezon in 1946 to honor Manuel L. Quezon, who served as the president of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.
The provincial capital is Lucena, which is classified as a highly urbanized city and serves as the most popular city within the province. To distinguish it from the nearby Quezon City, the area is often referred to as Quezon Province.
