Zarumilla is a city in the Tumbes Region of northwestern Peru. It is the capital of the Zarumilla Province and the main settlement of the Zarumilla District. As of 2019, its population was recorded at 54,625.
The city lies only a few kilometers from the border town of Aguas Verdes, which is connected to Ecuador by a bridge. This proximity places Zarumilla near Peru's northern frontier with Ecuador.
