Caballococha is a town in the Loreto Region of northeastern Peru. It lies on the Amazon River, directly across the river from Colombia.
Its position on the Amazon places it within the country's Amazonian lowlands, in the far northeast of Peru near the tri-border area where Peru, Colombia, and Brazil converge. The town sits opposite Colombian territory, making the river both a local waterway and an international boundary.
Caballococha is one of several settlements along this stretch of the Amazon in Loreto, Peru's largest and northernmost region. The surrounding area is characterized by riverine terrain and a tropical climate typical of the western Amazon basin.
