Surco

Peru

Santiago de Surco, commonly known simply as Surco, is a district of Lima, Peru. It is one of the districts that make up the Lima metropolitan area, located in the Lima region of the country.

Surco is bordered on the north by the districts of Ate Vitarte and La Molina, on the east by San Juan de Miraflores, on the west by San Borja, Surquillo, Miraflores and Barranco, and on the south by Chorrillos. These boundaries place it within the central-southern section of Lima's urban sprawl, adjacent to several of the city's better-known coastal and residential districts.

As a district of Lima, Surco forms part of the capital city's administrative and urban structure rather than existing as a separate city. Its position between districts such as Miraflores and Barranco to the west and La Molina to the north makes it one of the many interconnected jurisdictions that together constitute Greater Lima.
