Chocope is a town and the capital of the Chocope district, located in the La Libertad region of northern Peru. It is situated within the agricultural Chicama Valley.
The town is positioned along the Pan-American Highway, approximately 45 kilometers north of the city of Trujillo. Due to its location on this major route, it serves as a functional bus connection for travelers moving between Trujillo and El Brujo.
