Ahuaycha is a district in the Huancavelica region of Peru. It is one of sixteen districts that make up Tayacaja Province, one of the seven provinces of the Huancavelica region in the central Peruvian Andes.
The district is a small Andean administrative unit, and the town of Ahuaycha serves as its capital and main settlement. Like other districts in Tayacaja Province, it forms part of the rural highland landscape of the region, whose economy is based largely on agriculture.
Detailed published information about Ahuaycha is limited, and the district is known chiefly through its administrative status within Tayacaja Province rather than as a major tourist destination.
