Pichari

Peru

Pichari is a town in central Peru and the capital of Pichari District, which lies in La Convención Province within the Cusco Region. It is located in the country's central-southern interior, in the Andean and Amazonian transition zone of the Apurímac River valley.

The town sits on the east side of the Apurímac River. Across the river, roughly 3 km away, is the town of Sivia, the capital of Sivia District in Huanta Province, Ayacucho Region. The two towns therefore face each other from opposite banks of the river, which at this point forms the boundary between the Cusco and Ayacucho regions.
