Olleros

Peru

Olleros is a district in the Ancash Region of Peru, one of twelve districts that make up Huaraz Province. It is a small Andean locality rather than the Amazonas-region place sometimes confused with it, and it sits within the highland terrain of west-central Peru.

Administratively, Olleros belongs to the Huaraz provincial structure, whose capital is the city of Huaraz. The district is one of the province's twelve subdivisions, a status that defines its local governance and places it within the broader Ancash regional framework.

Reliable, well-established detail about the district beyond its administrative identity is limited. It is best known simply as one of the constituent districts of Huaraz Province, and travellers encountering the name should note that several Peruvian places share it.
