Bagua is a city in Peru, located in the province of the same name within the Amazonas region. It sits roughly 162 kilometres (101 mi) from Chachapoyas, the regional capital.
The settlement was founded in 1561 under the name San Pedro de Bagua Chico. It is the principal urban centre of Bagua Province.
