El Alto is a corregimiento (administrative subdivision) located in Santa Fé District within Veraguas Province, Panama. It serves as a small rural settlement in this western region of the country.
According to census data, El Alto has experienced population decline over the past few decades. The settlement had 2,242 residents in 1990, which decreased to 2,060 by 2000, and further declined to 1,318 as of the 2010 census.
