La Palma is a town and corregimiento in Chepigana District, Darién Province, Panama, serving as the district's administrative seat. According to the 2010 census, the town had a population of 4,205, representing a significant decline from 11,632 residents in 1990, though it grew slightly from 3,884 in 2000.
The town is strategically positioned at the mouth of the Tuira River where it opens into the Golfo de San Miguel. The Chucunaque River joins the Tuira further south of the town. This location at a major riverine convergence has historically made La Palma an important settlement in the remote Darién region.
