Liwa is a wilayah (province) in the Al Batinah North Governorate of Oman. It lies north of Sohar and has a coastline along the Gulf of Oman. To its northwest it is bordered by the wilayats of Shinas and Mahdah.
The province is approximately 277 kilometres from Muscat, the national capital, and is the second province away from the border with the United Arab Emirates. As of 2020, Liwa had a population of 18,321.
