Bidbid

Oman

Bidbid is a town in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of northeastern Oman. It lies in the country's interior, within the governorate of Ad Dakhiliyah, one of Oman's eleven governorates, which is centred on the city of Nizwa.

The town sits in northeastern Oman, a part of the country that lies inland from the coastal plain of the Gulf of Oman and the capital area around Muscat. Ad Dakhiliyah is an inland region, and Bidbid is among the settlements located in its northeastern portion.

Bidbid is a small town rather than a major urban centre, and it is chiefly known as one of the places that make up the Ad Dakhiliyah region's network of towns and villages. Its location in the Omani interior places it within the wider area associated with the country's historical inland settlements, including the nearby oasis towns of the region.
