Masterton

Masterton is a large town located in the Greater Wellington Region of New Zealand. It serves as the administrative seat of the Masterton District and holds the distinction of being the largest town within the Wairarapa region, which is geographically separated from Wellington by the Remutaka ranges.

The town is situated on the Waipoua stream between the Ruamāhunga and Waingawa Rivers. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 100 kilometres north-east of Wellington and 40 kilometres south of Eketāhuna.
