Rangiora is a town located in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. It serves as the seat of the Waimakariri District and is situated approximately 29 kilometres north of Christchurch.
As part of the Christchurch metropolitan area, Rangiora has an estimated population of 19,300. It ranks as the largest town in its district and is the 30th largest urban area in New Zealand, while being the fifth-largest in the Canterbury region.
