Māngere is a major suburb situated in the South Auckland region of New Zealand. It is positioned on primarily flat land along the northeastern shore of the Manukau Harbour, located northwest of the Manukau City Centre and approximately 15 kilometres south of the Auckland city centre.
The suburb is notable for its proximity to major infrastructure, specifically housing Auckland Airport. The airport is situated near the harbour's edge to the south of the Māngere area.
