Norheimsund is the administrative centre of Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The settlement is situated on the northern side of the Hardangerfjord, approximately 80 kilometres (50 miles) from Bergen.
The town functions as the municipal administrative hub for the surrounding area. Nearby settlements include the village of Øystese, located about 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) to the northeast, and Vikøy, situated roughly 3 kilometres (1.9 miles) to the southeast. The suburb of Steine lies immediately to the west of Norheimsund.
