Hatteng is the administrative centre of Storfjord Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village serves as the municipal hub for the surrounding area and is known locally by several names: Hatteng in Norwegian, Háhtta in Northern Sami, and Hattu in Kven, reflecting the region's linguistic diversity.

Located along the European route E06 highway, Hatteng sits at the southern end of Storfjorden, a branch of the larger Lyngenfjorden. The village's position along this major transport corridor and fjord geography makes it a key settlement in the region. Storfjord Church, an important local landmark, is located in Hatteng.
