Idah is a town in Kogi State, Nigeria, located on the eastern bank of the Niger River in the middle belt region of the country. It serves as the headquarters of the Igala Kingdom and is also designated as a Local Government Area with a land area of 36 square kilometers.
According to the 2006 census, Idah had a population of 79,815 residents. Its position on the Niger River places it in a strategically important location within Nigeria's central geography.
