Manica is a market town in western Mozambique, located west of Chimoio in Manica Province. It lies in the western part of the country, near the border with Zimbabwe.
The town was originally the centre of the Kingdom of Manica and grew around the gold trade. Today it is best known for the Chinamapere rock paintings, a notable local site of rock art.
The Penha Longa Mountains lie north of the town, forming a prominent geographical feature of the surrounding area.
