Acatlán is a municipality and village situated in the central zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located approximately 35 kilometers from Xalapa, which serves as the state capital.
The municipality covers an area of 18.1 square kilometers. As of 2020, the population was recorded at 3,441 inhabitants, with more than 94% of these residents living within the municipal seat.
