Ixtapa is a resort city located in Mexico, situated along the Pacific Ocean. It is positioned within the municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta in the state of Guerrero.
The city is located approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) northwest of the municipal seat, Zihuatanejo, and 245 kilometers (150 miles) northwest of Acapulco.
