Santa Luċija is a village in the Southern Region of Malta. It is one of the modern towns developed in Malta during the 20th century. According to government definition, the village's location encompasses the area between Tal-Barrani and Luqa By-Pass, as established by an article in the Government Gazette of 7 July 1961.
The village takes its name from a 16th-century chapel that once stood in the vicinity. The Parish Church of Santa Luċija is dedicated to Pope Pius X and serves as the spiritual center of the community. The village is notable for being home to the Chinese Garden of Serenity, a distinctive cultural attraction.
Santa Luċija also contains a hypogeum, an underground burial structure, which was discovered in 1973. This archaeological feature reflects the area's historical significance and its connection to Malta's prehistoric past.
