Leova is a city in Moldova and the administrative center of Leova District. It lies in the southwestern part of the country, about 92 kilometers southwest of the national capital, Chișinău.
The city is situated on the east bank of the river Prut, which forms Moldova's border with Romania at this point. Leova's position on the Prut places it directly opposite Romanian territory across the river.
