Tan-Tan is a desert city located in Tan-Tan Province within the Guelmim-Oued Noun region of southwestern Morocco. With a population of 73,209, it serves as the largest city in its province and the second-largest city in the region, after the regional capital Guelmim.
The city sits on the banks of the wadi Oued Ben Khelil, which flows into the Draa River approximately 15 kilometres north of the town. The Draa River, Morocco's longest river at 1,100 kilometres, eventually reaches the Atlantic Ocean shortly after joining with the wadi. Tan-Tan is served by Tan Tan Plage Blanche Airport, providing air transport connections to the region.
