Aksu is a city located in the Pavlodar Region of north-eastern Kazakhstan. The name Aksu translates literally to "white river." The city was formerly known by the name Yermak.
The population of the municipal area is recorded between 67,665 and 73,165, while the population of the town itself ranges between 41,677 and 42,264.
