Incheon is a city located in northwestern South Korea, bordering Seoul and Gyeonggi Province to the east. The region has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. When Incheon became an international port in 1883, it had a population of just 4,700 people. As of February 2020, the city had grown to approximately 3 million residents, making it South Korea's third-most-populous city after Seoul and Busan.
