Rumuruti is a town located in Laikipia County within Kenya's former Rift Valley Province. It is situated approximately 40 kilometers due north of Nyahururu on the Nyahururu-Maralal road (A4).
Despite being smaller than neighboring towns such as Nanyuki and Nyahururu, Rumuruti's central location led to its selection as the administrative headquarters for the Laikipia County government in 2013. Additionally, a local business initiated plans in 2013 to construct a meat processing facility valued at KES200 million within the town.
