Kajiado is a town situated in Kajiado County, Kenya. It is located approximately 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) south of Nairobi along the Nairobi–Arusha highway.
The town has an urban population of 24,678 residents. While the local population is predominantly composed of members of the Maasai tribe, other tribes have established permanent settlements throughout the expansive county.
