Mashiko is a town situated in the Tochigi Prefecture of Japan. As of August 1, 2020, the town encompassed an area of 89.40 square kilometers and had a population of approximately 21,841 people living in 7,914 households, resulting in a population density of 240 persons per square kilometer.
The town is primarily recognized for its traditional pottery, known as Mashiko ware (Mashikoyaki). This craft has established the region as a notable center for ceramic production.
