Rifu

Rifu is a town located in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan. It covers a total area of 44.89 square kilometers (17.33 square miles). As of June 1, 2020, the town had an estimated population of 36,014 people living in 13,568 households, resulting in a population density of 800 persons per square kilometer.

The town is primarily recognized for its production of nashi pears. In recent years, local industries have expanded to include the development of specialty products derived from these fruits, specifically wine and candy made from nashi pears.
