Omitama is a city located in the Ibaraki Prefecture of Japan, situated northeast of Tokyo. The city covers a total area of 144.74 square kilometers and sits north of Lake Kasumigaura, which is recognized as the second-largest lake in the country. As of July 2020, the city had an estimated population of 48,776 residents across 18,311 households.
