Kasumi

Japan

Kasumi was a town located in Kinosaki District, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It formed part of the northern Kansai region on the Sea of Japan side of the country, within the district that also contained the area around the hot-spring resort of Kinosaki.

Like many small municipalities in rural Japan, Kasumi existed as an independent town until it was merged into a neighboring city as part of the wave of municipal consolidations that reduced the number of local administrative units across the country. Following that merger, Kasumi ceased to function as a separate town and became part of a larger municipality.

Details of the town's population, area, founding date, and the specific merger that dissolved it are not covered in the available source material, so they are not stated here.
