Mizunami is a city located in the Gifu Prefecture of Japan. As of January 1, 2019, the city encompassed an area of 174.86 square kilometers and had a population of approximately 37,705 people, resulting in a population density of 220 persons per square kilometer.
The city is notable for its involvement in record-breaking craftsmanship. In 1995, the Inatsu Town Planning Association within Mizunami produced a ceramic plate measuring 2.8 meters in diameter. This piece was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest ceramic plate in the world.
