Yuzawa is a city located in the Akita Prefecture of Japan. It covers a total area of 790.91 square kilometers (305.37 square miles) and has a population density of approximately 52 persons per square kilometer.
As of January 31, 2023, the city had an estimated population of 41,404 residents living in 17,551 households. The city is notable for claiming to be the birthplace of Ono no Komachi, a famous poet from the Heian period.
