Vas is a frazione (subdivision) of Quero Vas in the province of Belluno in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Located approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Venice and 30 kilometres southwest of Belluno, it sits in the foothills of the Dolomites. Vas was formerly an independent municipality before being incorporated into the larger administrative unit of Quero Vas.
As of 2004, when it was still officially a separate municipality, Vas had a population of 909 residents and covered an area of 17.8 square kilometres. The settlement reflects the character of small mountain communities typical of the Belluno province, situated in a region known for its Alpine geography and traditional Italian rural character.
