Valsavarenche is a comune (municipality) in the Aosta Valley, a region in northern Italy. It forms part of the Unité des communes valdôtaines du Grand-Paradis, one of the intercommunal associations that group together municipalities in the valley.
The comune lies within the Aosta Valley, Italy's smallest region, located in the country's northwest. The Aosta Valley is a mountainous, largely Alpine area, and Valsavarenche sits within the Gran Paradiso massif area that gives its communal union its name.
As a comune, Valsavarenche is one of the basic administrative units of local government in Italy. Its membership in the Unité des communes valdôtaines du Grand-Paradis links it with neighbouring municipalities for the joint provision of certain local services and functions.
