Doues is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy. It is one of the small municipalities that make up this mountainous, largely French- and Franco-Provençal-speaking autonomous region in the Italian Alps.
Like other comuni of the Aosta Valley, Doues is a minor administrative centre rather than a large urban settlement, set within the alpine terrain that characterises the region. The Aosta Valley is Italy's smallest region by area and is bordered by France to the west and Switzerland to the north.
