Zeri is a comune (municipality) in the province of Massa and Carrara, in the Tuscany region of central Italy. It lies within the traditional region of Lunigiana, the historical area of northwestern Tuscany and parts of neighbouring Liguria.
As a comune, Zeri is the basic unit of local government in Italy, encompassing a main settlement together with the surrounding villages and countryside. Its location in the Lunigiana places it in the inland, hilly and mountainous terrain characteristic of that region, rather than on the Tuscan coast.
Zeri is administratively part of the province of Massa and Carrara, whose capital is Massa. The province sits at the northern end of Tuscany, bordering Liguria and Emilia-Romagna.
