Austis is a village and comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro, in the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) north of Cagliari and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southwest of Nuoro.
The comune has a population of 711 inhabitants. As a comune, it is the basic administrative division of the surrounding area, with the village of Austis serving as its principal settlement.
