Susa is a town and comune located in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Piedmont region of Italy. Situated 51 kilometers (32 miles) west of Turin, it lies in the Susa Valley at the confluence of the Cenischia and Dora Riparia rivers, with the latter being a tributary of the Po River. The town sits at the foot of the Cottian Alps, positioning it as a gateway to the mountain region.
