Arcevia

Italy

Arcevia is a comune in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region of central-eastern Italy. It is one of the towns included in the association I Borghi più belli d'Italia, which recognises villages of notable historic and artistic interest.

The comune is located in the hills of the Marche, inland from the Adriatic coast and within the province whose capital is Ancona. Like many settlements in this part of Italy, it is a hill town, and its territory extends across the surrounding countryside.

Its inclusion in I Borghi più belli d'Italia is its most widely noted distinction, reflecting the preserved character of the town and its setting in the Marche landscape.
