Jenne is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Rome, in the Italian region of Lazio. It is located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) east of Rome.
The town sits in the mountainous terrain of the Monti Simbruini area of Lazio, near the source of the Aniene river. Its position in the Apennine hills gives it a cooler, more elevated setting than the coastal plains and the city of Rome to the west.
Like other comuni in the Metropolitan City of Rome, Jenne is administered as a single municipality that includes the town itself and its surrounding territory. It is one of the smaller and less densely populated communities within the metropolitan area, which extends far beyond the capital into the surrounding countryside and hills.
