Arsoli

Italy

Arsoli is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Rome, in the Lazio region of central Italy. It is located in the Aniene valley, east of Rome, in the hills of the Sabine area near the border with Abruzzo.

The town is known for its medieval historic centre, dominated by the Castello Massimo, a castle that belonged to the Massimo family and remains a landmark of the town. Its narrow streets and stone buildings reflect the typical character of the historic hill towns of Lazio.

Arsoli is also known for the nearby Monte Livata and the surrounding mountains, which make it a base for walking and nature excursions. It is connected to Rome by road and by the Rome–Pescara railway line.
