Banzi

Italy

Banzi is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the region of Basilicata in southern Italy. It is one of the smaller municipalities of the province, situated in the inland part of the region.

Like many settlements in Basilicata, Banzi is a hill town, and its economy has traditionally been based on agriculture. The surrounding countryside is typical of the province of Potenza, characterised by rolling hills and farmland.

Banzi is located within the province of Potenza, the larger and more northerly of the two provinces that make up Basilicata. The town lies in the southern Italian peninsula, in a region that is largely mountainous and landlocked apart from its short coastline.
