Anzi

Italy

Anzi is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is one of the many small municipalities that make up the inland area of the province, situated within the mountainous terrain characteristic of Basilicata.

As a comune, Anzi serves as a local administrative unit encompassing both the town itself and its surrounding territory. The province of Potenza is the larger of the two provinces in Basilicata, and Anzi belongs to the network of small towns that define much of the region's settlement pattern.

Basilicata, also historically known as Lucania, is a predominantly rural and mountainous region in southern Italy. Anzi shares in this regional context, forming part of the province's collection of historic hill towns.
