Penha de França is a town located in the Bardez taluka of North Goa, India, situated north of the state capital Panjim. The town takes its name from its church, Nossa Senhora da Penha de França, which is dedicated to the same patroness as the similarly named Penha de França in Lisbon, Portugal.
The town is notable as the birthplace of Vimala Devi, an Indian writer. Penha de França remains a small community within the Goan coastal region, reflecting the area's Portuguese colonial heritage through its religious architecture and nomenclature.
