Banyuurip is a district (kecamatan) of Purworejo Regency in the province of Central Java, Indonesia. It lies within the regency that surrounds the town of Purworejo, in the southern part of Central Java, a region of the island of Java that stretches between the Indian Ocean coast to the south and the central Javanese highlands to the north and east.
As a district, Banyuurip forms part of the administrative structure of Purworejo Regency, one of the regencies that make up Central Java province. Districts at this level in Indonesia serve as sub-regency units that group together a number of villages and neighbourhoods for local government purposes.
Reliable, well-established detail about Banyuurip specifically is limited, and it is best known simply as one of the districts within Purworejo Regency rather than as a major urban centre in its own right. It should not be confused with other places in Indonesia that share the name Banyuurip.
